Rotary Peace Fellowships 2023-2024 | How to Apply

Rotary provides up to 130 fully paid fellowships each year to deserving leaders from all across the world to study at one of our peace centers.

The Rotary Peace Centers program strengthens the capacity of peace and development professionals to become effective catalysts for peace via academic training, practice, and worldwide networking opportunities. Tuition, fees, housing and board, round-trip transportation, and internship and field-study expenses are all covered by the fellowships.

Rotary Peace Fellowships 2023-2024 are fully financed international student scholarships. These scholarships are exclusively available for master’s degree programs. Tuition, fees, housing and board, round-trip transportation, and all internship and field-study expenses are completely covered by the Rotary Peace Fellowships Program.

The Rotary Peace Scholarship Program 2023-2024 has been announced by the Rotary Peace Fellowship. Participants will be able to study in any of the Rotary Partner Countries, and applications are already being accepted. They give over 130 scholarships each year. The Rotary Peace Scholarship is a fully funded scholarship for international students interested in pursuing a full-time master’s degree or certificate program at one of the world’s top universities. One of the most prestigious scholarship chances is this one.

The Rotary Peace Centers have trained over 1,500 fellows who now operate in over 115 countries since the program began in 2002. Many are leaders in governments, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), educational and scientific institutions, peacekeeping and law enforcement agencies, and international organizations such as the United Nations and the World Bank.

The Rotary Peace Fellowship is for people who have worked in the fields of peace and development. Their fellows are dedicated to community and worldwide service, as well as peacemaking. The Rotary Foundation provides up to 50 master’s degree fellowships and 80 certificate fellowships at top universities each year.

The Master’s Scholarship lasts 15 to 24 months, and the Short Certificate programs last 3 months.

There are no nationality restrictions. Rotary Peace Scholarships are open to students from all across the world. You will complete your studies at a Rotary Peace Fellowships Partner University (USA, Japan, UK, Australia, Sweden, Thailand, Uganda). To apply for this scholarship, there is no application fee. Master’s Degree Program: Accepted candidates study peace and development challenges with a diverse student body and research-informed teaching. The programs are 15 to 24 months long and involve a two- to three-month field research that participants design.
Professional Development Certificate Program: Experienced peace and development professionals from a variety of professions receive practical skills to promote peace in their communities and around the world during the one-year blended learning program. Fellows conduct field research and plan and implement a social change program. This program is designed for professionals who are currently employed. Upon completion of the program, fellows get a post-graduate diploma.

Rotary Peace Scholarship Program 2023-2024 Requirements

Rotary Peace Fellowships are for professionals with a background in international relations, peacekeeping, or conflict resolution. The following requirements must also be met by applicants:

  • All countries in the world are eligible.
  • English proficiency is required; knowledge of a second language is strongly recommended.
  • Exceptional leadership abilities
  • Professional and intellectual achievements, as well as personal or community service, reflect a strong dedication to international understanding and peace.
  • Applicants for master’s degrees must have at least three years of related full-time job or volunteer experience, as well as a bachelor’s degree.
  • Applicants for the certificate must have at least five years of related full-time work or volunteer experience, as well as a good academic background.
  • Carry out the eligibility test

Required Documents

A resume, academic and/or professional recommendations, essays, transcripts, a social impact plan (certificate only), and test scores (Master’s only) are all required for submission.
All materials must be written in the English language.

How to Apply for Rotary Peace Scholarship Program 2023-2024

The following instructions must be followed in order to apply for Rotary Peace Fellowships:

  • Check the eligibility requirements and limits in the application guidelines.
  • Examine the curricula and programs offered by each Rotary Peace Center. You’ll be asked to rank two different centers.
  • Prepare your resume/CV, essays, academic or professional recommendations, transcripts, and test scores for your application. All content must be written in the English language. Transcripts and scores are not required for certificate candidates.
  • To schedule an interview, contact your local Rotary district before submitting your application. The application process necessitates the endorsement of the district. TIP: Your local Rotary club can assist you in establishing a relationship with your district. Use Club Finder to find the club that is closest to you. For candidates who have district support, club interviews and recommendations are strongly encouraged but not essential.
  • Submit your online application to your district by May 15th, before any interviews.
  • Complete an interview with representatives from the district. By July 1, districts must submit their recommendations to The Rotary Foundation.
  • In November, you will receive notification of the selection results. If you are awarded a fellowship, you will be informed of which Peace Center you will be studying at.
  • Apply to the university where your Peace Center is located for admission. The fact that you were chosen for the fellowship does not imply that you have been accepted to the university.

Important Note: Fellowship awardees are not permitted to study at a Rotary Peace Center in their home country, with the exception of Thailand candidates, who are permitted to attend the center at Chulalongkorn University.
