UNESCO Poland Fellowship 2023

The UNESCO Poland Fellowship 2023-2024 is a fully funded international student scholarship program. This grant is available in Poland for undergraduate and graduate study. The complete tuition fee and a monthly stipend of 1600 PLN are covered by the UNESCO Poland Fellowship.

The UNESCO International Cultural Exchange Program’s goal is to bring together learners from various backgrounds and from different parts of the world to increase capacity building and human capital growth in the fields of science, technology, and engineering education, among other things. UNESCO Poland Fellowship 2023 Benefits

The UNESCO Poland Fellowship Program provides the following incentives to the recipient:

  • Based on municipal legislation, free tuition and access to university facilities are provided.
  • Monthly allowance of 1600 PLN (1 EUR = about 4,0 PLN), equivalent to a local junior research fellow’s pay;
  • This sum will cover various activities linked to your stay in Krakow, such as a compulsory medical check-up upon arrival (as per internal norms for all students); cultural, historical, and/or tourism tours; conferences, workshops, and seminars related to your study.
  • The beneficiaries will receive a certificate attesting to their attendance at the host university at the conclusion of the research studies; this certificate will be granted following receipt of the requested reports and financial clearance from the Institution.

The following advantages are provided by UNESCO to the recipient:

  • International travel expenditures from the beneficiary’s country to and from Poland will be covered by UNESCO under its Regular Programme Budget (via the most direct, inexpensive route).
  • UNESCO fellowship holders who are medically healthy may be protected by a health insurance policy taken out by the Organization for the term of their fellowship. UNESCO pays for and covers the costs of this health insurance on behalf of awarded fellows.

UNESCO Poland Fellowship Requirements

You must meet the following requirements to be considered for the UNESCO Poland Fellowship Program:

  • English is a must.
  • List of invited Member States that are eligible to submit applications.
  • A BS, BSc degree or an MS, MSc degree is required.
  • Excellent command of the English language.
  • Only people in good health under the age of 45 are eligible for fellowships. When a case can be made, exceptions may be considered.
  • The invited Member State should submit its candidacy.
  • Students and youth from underdeveloped countries are strongly encouraged to participate.

How to Apply for UNESCO Poland Fellowship 

How can I apply for the UNESCO Fellowship Program in Poland? To apply for the UNESCO Poland Fellowship 2023, please follow the steps below:

  • Fill out an online application.
  • In duplicate, applications must include the following attachments:
  • All four (4) pages of the UNESCO fellowship application forms, including the medical certificate, must be completed in English using capital letters (illegible documents will be disqualified; handwriting forms must only include capital letters);
  • Two pictures (4.66 cm) are attached to the applications.
  • UNESCO proof of language understanding, officially completed by an appropriate authority, if the candidate’s mother tongue is not English; and certified copies (in English) of Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree/ PhD earned.
  • Two letters of recommendation from people familiar with the candidate’s field of work, as well as documentation of the candidate’s qualifications.
  • Original applications in duplicate must be sent to Mr Stoyan Bantchev, Chief, Participation Program and Fellowships Section, UNESCO mailing address, via the candidate’s country’s National Commission for UNESCO.

  • The endorsed applicants should use the Fellowship e-registration method to register.
  • Only the chosen candidates will get letters from their respective UNESCO National Commissions.
  • The medical exam is only completed and submitted after the candidate has been notified by UNESCO of her/his selection.
